Two sports figures who seemed to have their heads screwed on correctly.
The first is Red Sox ace Curt Schilling. This is his response to Charles Gibson after Gibson called him a "warrior" for competing on a badly injured ankle during post-season play.
"Warrior is a strong word. The men and women in the Mideast that are serving this country are the warriors . . . I appreciate [it], but this wasn't up there."
Second is Isiah Thomas, who recently lectured the players on the NY Kincks on not chewing gum or slouching during the National Anthem.
Thomas said: "You've got people fighting for the freedom of our country because of some of the things that happened in our city. I want the players to understand how important it is to play in New York."
